Bio
Carter Berg was born and raised in New York City. The impulse to become a photographer began during spring break of his senior year in college, working as a production assistant on a Bruce Weber shoot. "I watched Bruce and his gang of assistants from afar and I thought, 'I want to do that.'" That momentary inspiration became a full-fledged passion. "I learned quickly that the really memorable pictures are the ones that can happen in between the picture you're supposed to be taking. You always have to be looking and have your camera at the ready." With that in mind, Berg carries his camera like his keys, always ready to unlock and capture those unexpected moments. His work has appeared in numerous publications such as Elle Decor, Madame Figaro, Country Living and Departures. He has also shot advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren, as well as images for several lifestyle books. He and his wife Kasia live in Manhattan where they met.
